The traditional Viennese hotel is located in an historic building in the fashionable Freihaus quarter of Vienna’s 4th district. The centrally situated Hotel Johann Strauss offers 64 rooms thus allowing it to offer appropriate and most convenient accommodation for each guest, both business travellers and tourists.

All rooms in Hotel Johann Strauss are non-smoking rooms.

Free wireless Internet connection is offered to our guests, as well as a business corner with a PC and printer that can be used free of charge on a fair use basis - whenever available. This service is highly appreciated by our business travellers, and is also very helpful for tourists planning their sightseeing tours.

Our rich breakfast buffet satisfies all tastes, especially our seasonal specialities and is served from Monday to Saturday from 6.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. and on Sundays from 6.30 am. – 11.00 a.m.

Check-in is available from 2 p.m. and check-out is possible until 12.00 a.m.

great hotel and top location

This hotel scores above all with great, courteous and helpful staff, very clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired. Especially the coffee machine in the breakfast room is sensational, it makes many kinds and all were delicious. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the location of our room: just above the suppliers entrance, since it was very loud at six o'clock in the morning. Top also the location to the subway (two minutes) and the own coffee machine in the room.

Cozy hotel, newly renovated, very friendly staff

We liked it very much. We had a nice room on the 5th floor. Newly renovated, clean, nice bathroom. Very good mattresses. And absolutely quiet - there was nothing to hear from the other guests or from the street.

wonderful stay!

I had a friendly service at the check-in and check-out and also my individual wishes to park my car were very much met. Breakfast buffet is good and extensive. There are some good restaurants in the area. The center can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. So you can book well.
